ANALISIS OPERASIONAL BARGE LOADING CONVEYOR (BLC) SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS MENGGUNAKAN METODE VALUE STREAM MAPPING (VSM)

One of the priority projects developed by PT MST is increasing the capacity of
the Barge Loading Conveyor (BLC) from 4000 TPH to 6000 TPH to achieve a
production target of 30 Million Tons Per Year. However, the increase must be
evaluated. Therefore, this study aims to explore the value before and after the
capacity increase. The method used to rotate is Value Stream Mapping (VSM).
VSM is calculated based on 2 components, namely Process Cycle Efficiency
(PCE) and reducing cycle time. Operational data was taken in two periods,
namely before the increase in January–February 2024 and after the increase
in July–August 2024. The average VSM result before the increase from the PCE
calculation was 92.5 to 96%, and a decrease in processing time by 27% and
production waiting time by 28%. The conclusion of this study is that VSM
increased by 3.5% after increasing capacity from 4000 TPH to 6000 TPH.
