Abstract

Section A2 is a team from the Engineering Department in charge of Section
building and Section Venting Plant A. In Section A2 the band service problem
is the problem with the highest downtime and the ATB-I3 engine is the
machine with the highest downtime due to the band service problem. The
high downtime band service is caused by a problem with the lock band
service system, namely the motion locking system on the band service
component. Therefore, a modification was made by changing the design of
the lock band service. Modifications made require components such as ACM
B50 S60 pneumatic cylinders, 10 mm plates, and proximity sensors. After the
modification is complete, downtime calculations are performed as well as
MTTR and MTTF calculations to determine the availability of values. Based
on the calculations made by the author, after the modification there was a
decrease in downtime of 52.97% and an increase in availability of 1.64%
compared to before the modification.
