Studi Desain Ulang Frame Roller Conveyor Dengan Material SS400 Menggunakan CAD (Autocad)

This study discusses the redesign and modification of the roller conveyor frame
in the hopper area which is often damaged due to excessive loads and
deformation during the operational process in the coal mining industry. The
main problem found is deformation of the frame structure which causes
operational disruption and increased downtime. To overcome this, a frame
redesign was carried out using SS400 material which has better strength than
the previous material (SS330). The design process was carried out using
AutoCAD software to produce accurate engineering drawings that meet
industry standards. The modifications made include the addition of a double
frame system, the use of a sliding frame that can be pulled, and strengthening
the structure with bracing. Design evaluation was carried out through
simulations using SolidWorks to test the resistance of the structure to static
loads. The results of the study showed that the new design was able to increase
strength, speed up the maintenance process, and reduce the frequency of
damage and operational costs
