The research aims to design a bearing housing that is more resistant to impact
from coal, extending bearing life, and reducing downtime and maintenance
costs at PT KTC. The methodology involves problem identification through
field studies, data collection on failures, design using wear-resistant materials,
and strength testing. The results show that the new design improves durability,
bearing lifespan, and operational efficiency, with a cost analysis indicating
significant savings and a quick return on investment. Implementation on
Conveyor Line C also enhances productivity and system reliability.
