Abstract

The manufacturing industry is one of the fields that produces a product by processing a material in such a way that it becomes a product that can be enjoyed by consumers. Product quality is the main key in meeting consumer standards so that a company must maintain the quality of its products. On the other hand, quantity is also a factor of production, with optimal production to produce the best quantity. In the compound manufacturing process, there are parameters that must be maintained so that the quality of the resulting compound is not out-of-standard. One of these parameters is that the surface temperature of the chamber is not allowed to exceed the maximum limit that has been determined. If the temperature exceeds the specified limit, it indicates that there is a blockage of water in the radiator. The function of this radiator is as a cooling chamber so that the temperature in the chamber does not exceed a predetermined maximum limit. In Plant M, this monitoring activity is still done manually by taking sample data of chamber temperature at certain hours, so that the data does not represent the chamber temperature data as a whole. In the monitoring process, the inspector must go down to the bottom of the chamber and check one by one of the six points in the chamber. This will be quite time consuming because there is other work to be done soon as well. In addition, the chamber temperature when outside of monitoring activities cannot be known, so that if the chamber temperature exceeds the specified limit, it will not receive proper treatment on time.
